There is nothing I love more than a good skirt / vest combo for fall. I think it's because I like when opposites attract -- one is meant for cooler weather while the other is for warmer. So when they meet, you're ready for fall.

I had my eye on this skirt the moment it came out. J. Crew's fall skirt selections in the past years have never let me down (see my favorite from last year) but this year it's been kind of meh. Until this skirt! I love the ruffle down the front and of course the style/fit/length is literally my go-to for a skirt. I ordered my normal size 6 in J. Crew (normally an 8 elsewhere) and it fits like a  glove!

And pairing (once again) something new with something old -- I've had this vest since they first came out with in like 6 years ago and I find myself wearing it every single season. Everyone needs a good staple vest in their closet and this one does not disappoint. HERE is this years version and HERE is a cheaper version (that looks identical to mine).
